The digital footprint may be a serious problem within the society simply because people just save at times and do not know that when ever they decide on deleting the post it does not mean that it has been permanently removed from the net. Although one thing that people don’t understand is that people may have already saved or shared what you have posted and in conclusion that means that anything posted on the net or social media sites is never removed permanently (IIE, 2019). One of the negative aspects an individual can face is that one you believe that it has been deleted it is actually restored in a remote area that no one knows about. It is also important to know that one can be tracked down for what ever they do on social media and or the internet, just as someone where to say something about you, it follows you around throughout your entire life span. The image that one has online is far more important than the image on has on the outside world, simply because it is there forever. In terms of jobs it is where the people in the higher places will be able to determine if whether you are trustworthy, reliable, likeable or not.

Social capital is basically based on the use of social networks and is build by the amount of people who make use of the different sorts of social media platforms. These impacts the people’s ability to control their information, data and knowledge which may increase their feelings of self-worth. This network allows an individual to evaluate certain networks and resources that people can access. In order to build your social capital it is said that the more connections you have , the better access you will to certain resources you may need. Communication amongst a group of people about certain aspects can be very effective and may work to your benefit. It is crucial for those consuming products by means of the internet to be effective consumers.

Digital Communication – the exchange of information electronically. Through the use of technology people within our century are able to communicate certain messages from a distance and at any time by means of e-mails or texts. Individuals are also able to share their thoughts to others in order to understand the message. It has been concluded that students can find a way through technology to find their voices and express themselves.

Digital Literacy – is the ability to make use of information and communication technologies to find, create and communicate information(IIE, 2019).

Digital Etiquette – the electronic standards of conduct. Within this factor there are ways in which an individual can report an forms of inappropriate use ( digital citizenship institute, 2017). Although teachers can include this form of element as part of the class rules or academic goals and also ensuring that they are aware of other individuals as an important idea.

Digital Law – These involve the Responsibilities of individuals within the electronic world. These also have to deal with the creation of rules and policies that address issues related to the digital world. These laws apply to any individual who works with the net or plays online.

Digital Rights and responsibilities – These are the requirements and freedoms applicable to everyone within the digital world. within this element, students are helped to understand that when they are provided with opportunities they need to be willing to help other individuals such as adults engaging any problem within the net. It is important for any participant of the electronic world to understand that rights must be addressed, discussed, and understood. 

Digital Health and Wellness – Refers to the physical and psychological well-being in the digital world. There are certain problems that one can come across more especially within the digital platform, such as: eye problems, repetitive stress syndrome, and sound ergonomic practices. These issues need to be addressed in the newly developed technological world. It is also important that users are informed about these issues that inherit danger to their everyday lives. It is also stated that positive citizens involve culture where digital users are taught how to protect themselves through education and training.

Digital Security and privacy – is the electronic precautions to guarantee safety. When making use of these devices in schools or homes, one has to understand and be aware of attacks which can occur on the digital platform. it is crucial for an individual to learn and have a greater understanding of how to prevent these attacks for today and the near future.

Ice task one – The digital divide of Pretoria

The communities of the Pretoria have always had an issue when coming to the school kids in the rural areas. Children never had the privilege to carry around proper textbooks and have proper classes like those who were to school in the suburbs of Pretoria. The company Hauwei have decided to bridge the digital divide in the schools, where students have received free access to uncapped Wi-Fi and 3G internet connection in conjunction with 88000 tablets. The contribution made by the company made has formed part of the E-learning solution. Besides the young children in the community the Wi-Fi has impacted the lives of the community positively in the sense of, data has always been a struggle whereas not many could afford to purchase it. It was said by the mayor that purpose of having Wi-Fi installed in the communities is to encourage the people to take advantage of the information age. The mayor also feels it is a great way of decreasing the unemployment rate in sense of community members applying for jobs the means of Wi-Fi. It is the perfect facility to have because the product allows people to access the information they need.
